Rapid bond spray adhesive is a type of glue that is commonly used to bond polystyrene foam to a variety of different surfaces. It is a fast-drying adhesive that forms a strong bond between the foam and the substrate, making it a popular choice for a wide range of applications. However, there are some products that it cannot be used with due to potential incompatibilities. Here are some bullet points describing Rapid Bond spray adhesive and products it cannot be used with:
Rapid Bond spray adhesive is a solvent-based adhesive that is designed to bond polystyrene foam to various surfaces such as metal, wood, plastic, and paper.
It has a quick-drying formula that allows it to bond surfaces together in seconds, making it ideal for fast-paced production environments.
Rapid Bond spray adhesive is also waterproof, heat-resistant, and can withstand exposure to harsh chemicals, making it suitable for use in industrial applications.
It is easy to apply and can be used on both large and small surfaces. The spray nozzle ensures that the adhesive is applied evenly and minimizes waste.
However, there are some products that Rapid Bond spray adhesive cannot be used with due to potential incompatibilities. These include:
Polystyrene foam with a high concentration of blowing agent. This can cause the foam to soften or melt, which can compromise the integrity of the bond.
Polystyrene foam that has been treated with a flame retardant or other chemical additives. These chemicals can interfere with the adhesive's ability to bond to the foam.
Acrylic or polycarbonate plastics. Rapid Bond spray adhesive can cause these materials to craze or crack, which can weaken the bond.
Vinyl or PVC plastics. These materials can react with the solvent in the adhesive, causing it to soften or melt.
Styrofoam brand foam insulation. Rapid Bond spray adhesive can cause this foam to dissolve, which can lead to the release of toxic fumes.
It is important to check the compatibility of Rapid Bond spray adhesive with the materials being bonded before using it to ensure a strong and lasting bond. In addition, proper ventilation and safety precautions should be taken when using any type of adhesive to minimize the risk of exposure to harmful fumes or chemicals.

High performance spray adhesive used to bond the EPS400 overlay floor panel to the subfloor. The spray adhesive is a fast and effective method that greatly reduces install times with no increase to height build up while minimising waste and overuse.
When laying the overlay board to a wooden subfloor, simply spray the floor and apply the board to the glue, one board at a time. When laying onto wood a single can will cover 5sqm.
When laying the boards to concrete or similar substrates with a high consumption rate, spray the floor and the underside of the board so you are bonding glue to glue.
1. Prepare the subfloor by clearing all loose debris to ensure a true bond
2. Read the instruction as stated on the can
3. If laying the boards onto a wooden subfloor, spray the subfloor where the first board will be laid. If laying onto concrete, spray the back of the overlay board as well as the subfloor
4. Lay the overlay board down and apply pressure across the surface. Make sure you have it right as the bond will take very quickly
5. Repeat until the room is covered
